chasing the light, the fun & the feels wherever your love takes us
Vanessa and Steve’s wedding fell on May the Fourth so they had to have a few little nods to the epic movie franchise. Gracelands is a very unique, modern Wedding venue on the Central Coast, which combines industrial with elegant and relaxed.
To say I was excited to photograph Laura and Andy’s Yarramalong Hillview wedding would be a bit of an understatement. You know when you meet people and you just get that feeling that they’re cool, they know what they want, they’re chilled about it and it’ll just happen… Well, that’s what I felt with these guys.
Lara and Kevin held one heck of a weekend away for their Wedding in Kangaroo Valley in the NSW Southern Highlands. They stayed with their closest friends and family at the Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat. Miles from the closest town, they had the entire rural retreat to themselves. It really was idyllic.
There are fun and joyous weddings…and then there are African Weddings! In the middle of December last year, Farisayi’s friends from Zimbabwe awoke the sleepy folks on MacMasters Beach as they led her towards her future with Karl. Dancing and singing as a group, it was the best procession into a wedding I have ever seen. Slowly, they made their way along the beach, swaying their hips and calling their arrival. Everyone was certainly paying attention.
Exploring the urban cool of Wodonga’s Junction Square, via the Botanic Gardens in Albury and on to Splitters Creek for a Rustic Outdoor Party
The wedding of Chrissie and Kieran was so much fun to be a part of from start to finish. These guys were so chilled out and just wanted to have a great time!
Ben and Isabelle are the epitome of how to organise a wedding from the other side of the world and pull it off wonderfully whilst taking it all in your stride. Despite living busy lives in London, when they got in touch with me about their upcoming Wedding at Fernbank Farm in Yarramalong, they managed to scour websites of local suppliers, be decisive and lock them in, trusting the experts to do their thing!
What I loved most about this wedding was the relaxed vibe. The first time I met Rebecca, the bride, she told me that one of the main reasons they had chosen Pacific Palms as the location for their wedding was because they didn’t have a curfew to finish up the reception. They were able to dance around and party until whatever time they pleased.
Set in the countryside of the NSW Central Coast at Yarramalong Valley Farmstay. Meaghan and Phil’s Rustic setup blew my mind. Think vintage furniture around one long banquet table under fairylights and the stars!
