Elegant Rustic Wedding at Fernbank Farm : Ben + Isabelle

Ben and Isabelle are the epitome of how to organise a wedding from the other side of the world and pull it off wonderfully whilst taking it all in your stride. Despite living busy lives in London, when they got in touch with me about their upcoming Wedding at Fernbank Farm in Yarramalong, they managed to scour websites of local suppliers, be decisive and lock them in, trusting the experts to do their thing!

“We were extremely lucky that all our vendors went above and beyond as we organised the wedding from the UK. Esther at the venue sorted all the styling and organisation, Toni our celebrant really took her time to get to know us and really put effort into the ceremony – everyone commented on how great she was. Chris, our photographer, made us feel so comfortable and made the photos fun, so it didn’t feel like a chore. The cake was delicious and the band was fantastic.”

Fernbank Farm

Fernbank Farm is without a doubt one of the best country-style wedding venues in the Greater Sydney region, perhaps even Australia. They literally have everything to make the day perfect, whatever the weather with beautiful rustic elegance, whether you decide to style it up or keep it to the already beautiful basics.

One of the stand-out features for me is the popular ceremony location, featuring a wrought iron pergola covering all the guests, which has Ivy or something similar woven throughout. In the summer months, this is in full green bloom but in winter the bare stems provide an equally interesting effect.

Mimosa Florals, probably my favourite local wedding florist, made the arbour a feature within this together with the beautiful oversized flowers arrangements in large vases. In the evening, I took the couple back down to the Pergola to make a dramatic and romantic backlit night photo.

Stylish Wedding Choices

With Ben and Isabelle’s clear taste in style, I’m talking Pronovias, Bec & Bridge, Burberry and Gucci, this wedding felt like a page out of a fashion magazine!

  1. […] Fernbank Farm is known for its gorgeous gardens and its huge Wisteria-covered Arbour, which can look completely different in every season, but always amazing. With their wedding being in Summer, it meant the arbour was in full green mode, to which they added simple but elegant linen draping. If you want to see what it looks like in Winter, check out this blog. […]
