When I received a phone call from Jess’ Mum a couple of days before their Clifftop Elopement was set to happen, I was certainly a little surprised but so excited to potentially be a part of it! Jess and Michael planned to tie the knot on a mountaintop overlooking Patonga.
What I loved most about this wedding was the relaxed vibe. The first time I met Rebecca, the bride, she told me that one of the main reasons they had chosen Pacific Palms as the location for their wedding was because they didn’t have a curfew to finish up the reception. They were able to dance around and party until whatever time they pleased.

There are fun and joyous weddings…and then there are African Weddings! In the middle of December last year, Farisayi’s friends from Zimbabwe awoke the sleepy folks on MacMasters Beach as they led her towards her future with Karl. Dancing and singing as a group, it was the best procession into a wedding I have ever seen. Slowly, they made their way along the beach, swaying their hips and calling their arrival. Everyone was certainly paying attention.
