Elizabeth and Tim’s Hunter Valley wedding at Bimbadgen Palmers Lane had style written all over it. From the Black Tie suits the boys wore to the Vintage Classic Cars that brought the girls to the venue and the Champagne Tower that followed the ceremony.
Hunter Valley Wedding & Bridal Prep Venues
It was the first time that I had photographed a wedding at Bimbadgen, and it was a real treat. I really loved the big barn doors on the venue, which is styled as a modern barn with sandstone walls and a modern interior. Leading to the barn doors is an elegant, tree-lined set of steps that are great for photos and of course, the vines are close by for that classic Hunter Valley look.
I met up with Liz and the Bridal Party at Brokenback Vineyard Luxe Homestead, where the girls were getting ready. This is a large historic property on the Oakvale Wines Estate, which is surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens and a wide verandah on all sides. I then visited the boys at another sprawling Air BnB residence. The girls had gorgeous autumnal colour bouquets, and Tim wore a red rose. In fact, the couple told me that Tim had taken charge of the florals and been very clear that he wanted to use reds, thanks to some of the flowers that he grows at home.
An Entertaining Hunter Valley Celebrant
Whilst the day began nice and mild, when the ceremony began, the mercury rose dramatically. It must’ve been 35-40 degrees, and I, for one, was melting! However, celebrant Julie Muir did a fantastic job of keeping the guests entertained and their thoughts away from the heat. Julie is a super fun celebrant who brings her natural Irish charm and wit to her couples’ big days, finding snippets of their relationship to bring both the laughs and the romance. Heck, she even did a shot of Irish Whiskey with the groom pre-celebration to settle the nerves!!
A Special Night Photo
As the party wore on into the night, I asked Liz & Tim if they were keen to make an artistic night photograph and set them up with smoke and backlighting for what would prove to be a real epic end to this special day.
The Wedding Album
After the dust had settled on their day and I’d delivered their photos, we set to work on designing a stunning Wedding Album to house their favourite memories. The couple decided on one of my Studio Albums, which is my most popular option and together, we created a layout that would tell the story of the day and bound it in a beautiful Leather with a custom embossed cover.
When I delivered the Album to them, I had the privilege to watch as Liz turned the pages, soaking up the feel of the textured pages and reliving all her happy memories from the day. To anybody who isn’t sure whether they need an album, this was a lovely reminder of what a special product they are!
And some more highlight photos from their wedding day…
