2014 has seen a number of changes for us, not least of which was moving from Sydney to the Central Coast, and thus having the mammoth task of trying to get our business recognised locally. (Though we certainly haven’t stopped working in Sydney too!)
We thought it would be nice, on the last day of the year to take a moment to look back on where we have been this past year, and to look forward to where we hope to be in the coming one.
We started the year on a job on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, where I shot these early rising SUP riders at sunrise.
We did a great shoot with some of our fab collaborators based around floral themes, and shot this fab wedding overlooking Sydney Harbour…
In April we were temporarily homeless and spent a couple of weeks visiting family in Northern Victoria, where we visited some of the beautiful little towns around the area, like Beechworth and Yackandandah…
In May, we had a great time showcasing our work to the Brides and Grooms at Love on the Lawn in the Hunter Valley, as well as meeting some lovely vendors and photographing the runway shows.
The winter seemed to be mostly about celebrities and charity bashes for us….
After that hectic couple of months we were ready to step back from the glitz and really enjoyed the fact that we got to go and shoot for a couple of our friends and vendors, Teacups & Roses and Vellos Bridal…
We did something a little different later in the year….photographed food…and it looked goooood! Might have to do this more often, especially when you get to eat a bit of everything afterwards!
Our year came to end with a very ‘Vintage’ feeling, with our appearance at the Vintage Bride Wedding Fair and our Vintage Wedding, shot in rural NSW.
Its been a great year with a whole load of different things to shoot. There is plenty more but we thought it would be nice to show a bit of a mixture here.
It is now time to look forward to 2015 and the possibilities that will hopefully arise. We already have weddings, portraits and other shoots booked in and can’t wait to meet a heap of new people.
If you are getting married or have an event, or heck, just want to say ‘Hi’, drop us a line. We’d love to hear from you.
All the best to you all and we wish you a very happy New Year’s Eve!!
See you in 2015.
