I remembered David straight away because he was so jolly and full of life when he came through and spoke to us! Wedding Expos are a funny thing, particularly when it comes to the boys, as I’m sure it’s not hard to imagine. Some are clearly doing their duty in being there, following their excited fiancé around, nodding and mmm-ing at the opportune moments. Others manage to sneak off to ‘sample’ the venue’s beverages while she does the hard work. Then there is another group, those that are really into the planning, and after all it is their big day too. David definitely fell into this last category.
As our couple have planned to marry at Killcare Surf Life Saving Club, they decided they would also like to have their Engagement Shoot at Killcare.
Killcare is a beautiful little spot on the NSW Central Coast. As a family we love it in the summer as it has a formation of rocks at the Southern end of the beach that protect a small natural pool from the force of the ocean and provides a safe spot for the kids to splash around and have fun.
Their Engagement Shoot
I met Sarah and David about an hour before sunset, hoping for some cracking colours as the sun went down, but alas, there was a lot of cloud that day. No matter though, cloud provides a great soft light for portraits and that means you can shoot wherever you want, which for a photographer is great.
We spent some time exploring the rocks and messing about in the sand before heading back to the club for a few different shots. It was a lovely afternoon and I think the smiles and laughter in the pictures says it all…
